Publishing to Cloudflare¶
After mkdocs build, this site is just a folder of static files (site/). Cloudflare serves it.
The quick test - Cloudflare Pages (direct upload)¶
No Git repository and no CI needed - upload the built site straight from the machine:
mkdocs build --strict
npx wrangler pages project create velho-docs --production-branch main
npx wrangler pages deploy site --project-name velho-docs
You get an instant https://velho-docs.pages.dev URL.
Preview deployments
Adding --branch <name> to pages deploy produces a preview deployment at a unique URL
instead of overwriting production - ideal for testing without going live.
About wrangler.jsonc¶
This project ships a Pages wrangler.jsonc (pages_build_output_dir: "./site"), so
wrangler pages deploy can pick it up automatically. Workers static assets - the 0wned.cc
pattern with assets.directory - is an alternative, but it needs its own config, so it is not
set up here.
Later - custom domain and zero-trust¶
- Attach
docs.velho.netto the Pages project (Cloudflare DNS). - Optionally gate it with Cloudflare Access for a private, zero-trust preview - useful for drafts that should not be public yet.
Wrangler is already authenticated here
Credentials live at %APPDATA%\xdg.config\.wrangler. Nothing else is needed to deploy.
